About

I’m a teacher at Northwest High School in Cedar Hill, MO.  I also teach at St. Louis Community College at Meramec.  At Northwest, my schedule next year includes regular chemistry and AP environmental science. At Meramec I teach two sections of Observational Astronomy, the lab section for the Astronomy classes.  I teach those classes on Monday and Tuesday nights.  Monday is a late start class.

In addition to teaching, I am also involved with the St. Louis Astronomical Society and The World Bird Sanctuary.  Another program I am involved is QuarkNet and Virtual QuarkNet, a program for high school students to introduce them to particle physics and the study of cosmic rays.  I am also involved with ARBSE, a program to use astronomy to teach research based science in my classes.  My other interests include photography, music (especially blues, watching live music and playing some harmonica wherever possible!), astronomy and working in my home recording studio.  We are currently in production of a country CD for Joe Hoffman called Next of Kin.
